Refrigerant gas R404A will be out now!

There are many kings of refrigerant in refrigeration system,R12,R22,R134a,R404A,R507A etc. we always use R22 in the past years.but environment department found that R22 will damage the ozonosphere,so we try to use other refrigerant which would not damage the ozonosphere,so we found R404A & R134a etc, they are friendly for environment.

Different refrigerant will have different type oil in compressor, normally compressor oil was mineral oil,but if use R404A or R134a, The compressor oil should be poly oil.

Another found the compressor cooling capacity will increase 20% if use R404A and the pressure will be higher 20%.too

Finally we found R404A is suit for freezer with -18C or lower, and R134a is suit for chiller with 0C to +5C.

Now another news came: Get out of R404A now!

EUROPE: Leading associations from all sectors have joined together to implore contractors to stop installing high GWP refrigerants R404A and R507A.

Despite huge increases in prices of up to 700% and severe shortages of these refrigerants, end users have been slow to switch to alternatives and, even worse, new equipment using R404A is still being installed.

European contractor and manufacturers’ groups AREA, EPEE, EFCTC and ASERCOM warn that failure to take immediate action will threaten the survival of many refrigeration and air conditioning contractors’ businesses.

In a hard-hitting new document the groups provide a stark message to the industry: “If you want to stay in business, you have to stop installing R404A/R507A – now!”

Faced with massive cuts in HFCs under the European F-Gas regulations contractors have no choice, they argue. HFCs with a high GWP are hit the hardest but if the consumption of these HFCs does not go down rapidly, all other HFCs, including blends containing HFCs, will suffer as a result. Reductions in the availability of R410A and R134a are already being experienced across Europe.

The advice is:

• Stop using R404A/R507A in new equipment

• Retrofit existing equipment from R404A/R507A to lower GWP refrigerants when systems are prone to leakage and/or other failures

• Reduce leakages

• Reduce the refrigerant quantity per system as much as possible

• Recover, recycle and reclaim refrigerants
